Over the past 50 years we have become well known for our extensive inventory of circular and commercial connectors and today have expanded our products to include switches, tools, & accesories totaling over 43,000 SKUs. ECCO has earned quality certifications to assemble connectors that meet demanding industrial & military specifications. Air Industries, a general wholesale surplus store that carried electronics, was established by an entrepreneurial Pilot who realized the aviation industry was embracing connectors.
ECCO became a franchised distributor for top connector suppliers; and remains a strong partner and emotional favorite to them as it grows.
Anixter Brothers, Inc. acquires ECCO from Air Industries and Chuck Engvall becomes president of the Company.
Arris Group Inc. (NasdaqGS:ARRS), formerly known as Antec Corporation, was separated from Anixter, ECCO moves with and becomes a division of the Arris Group.
ECCO becomes ISO 9001-2000 certified.
ECCO is acquired from the Arris Group Inc. with new ownership and Bernard Gizzi, an experienced electronic industry executive begins its transformation.
